Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by eliminating grease, dirt, paint, or rust through methods such as abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasting to ready vehicles for painting.
- Support the painting team by assisting with pre-paint blending tasks.
- Collaborate with the paint crew to maintain scheduled timelines for vehicle delivery.
- Apply body fillers to repair small dents or scratches and smooth surfaces ahead of painting.
- Polish and wax the finalized paint finish for quality presentation.
- Clean, take apart, and reassemble sprayers and power tools using solvents, brushes, and cloths.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience in the vehicle painting preparation process is necessary.
- Holding I-CAR certifications is advantageous.
- Ability to follow directions accurately and work collaboratively with team members.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is required.
