Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by eliminating grease, dirt, rust, and old paint using various tools such as abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, and sandblasters.
- Support painters through assisting with pre-paint blending tasks.
- Collaborate with the painting team to ensure timely completion aligned with scheduled delivery deadlines.
- Fill minor dents or scratches applying body fillers and smooth surfaces ahead of painting.
- Buff and wax newly painted surfaces to finalize the paintwork.
- Disassemble, cleanse, and reassemble spraying and power equipment employing solvents, wire brushes, and cloths.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience related to vehicle paint preparation processes is essential.
- I-CAR certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain productive teamwork.
- Successful completion of a thorough background screening.
Compensation and Benefits

This role is compensated via a commission/flag rate system, ensuring at least local minimum wage for hours worked weekly. Compensation varies based on expertise, certifications, and job-relevant qualifications, with the typical annual gross pay ranging between $40,000 and $96,500.
