Job Overview

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Paint Assistant will perform essential tasks supporting the painting process at our Seattle, WA facility. This full-time role involves preparing parts for painting, maintaining safety standards, and managing related documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Painter with tasks excluding the actual paint spraying
• Prepare parts through hand sanding and cleaning with solvents
• Mix various chromate and non-chromated primers and topcoats
• Arrange parts to facilitate smooth application of paint
• Fill out work orders and related paperwork throughout the painting process
• Document oven charts and temperature readings accurately
• Maintain cleanliness of the paint shop by sweeping and other cleaning duties
• Adhere to safety protocols by using protective gear during daily tasks
• Safely handle hazardous materials in line with state and federal laws
• Set up and label hazardous waste storage containers
• Carry out additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience: No previous experience necessary; on-the-job training provided

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay range between $20.77 and $23.88, with shift differentials for second and third shifts

Work Environment
