Job Overview

The Packer role at Rudolph Foods in Lawrenceville, GA involves preparing boxes with the correct number of filled bags, ensuring the packing machine operates properly, checking for product defects such as broken seals, labeling boxes, and organizing them on conveyor belts for stacking. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor or Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble boxes daily and ensure packages are arranged with precise quantities.
• Verify that each bag is filled to the correct weight and free from defects like air pockets, holes, or broken seals.
• Label all boxes accurately and place them on belts for skid stacking.
• Maintain packaging stock by replenishing box supplies as needed.
• Perform cleanliness tasks including dry wiping production areas, sweeping floors, and other required clean-up.
• Follow any additional responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Safety Responsibilities

• Observe Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
• Comply with all food safety standards and regulations.
• Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Adhere to general employee safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months of related experience or training is acceptable.

Skills Required

• Ability to read, write simple correspondence, and understand short instructions or memos.
• Effective communication skills for one-on-one or small group interactions.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, especially with measurements and money.
• Capacity for common sense judgment to follow straightforward written or oral instructions and troubleshoot simple issues.
