About the Role
Based in Wiri, Manukau, this role as a Packaging Specialist offers an exciting chance to drive the growth of the Packaging category across the Upper North Island. You will collaborate closely with Account Managers, Key Account Managers, the Category team, and supplier partners, leveraging your technical knowledge, sales acumen, and customer interaction skills to deliver meaningful business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Increase Packaging sales, revenue, and profit margins throughout the region.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Key Account Managers to uncover and grow opportunities within customer accounts.
- Perform packaging assessments and audits for customers, as well as oversee product trials.
- Advise customers on practical solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce expenses, and add value.
- Support important sales opportunities, tenders, quotations, and customer projects.
- Maintain and manage a robust pipeline of business opportunities.
- Offer technical expertise concerning packaging consumables and related equipment.
- Provide product and category training to the wider sales team.
- Work in partnership with suppliers and internal teams to deliver the best solutions to customers.

Desired Experience and Skills
- Background in B2B sales, account management, or specialist sales roles.
- Experience in packaging, industrial consumables, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, or similar sectors.
- Strong commercial insight combined with a growth-oriented mindset.
- Confidence in presenting solutions and influencing stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Aptitude for identifying customer needs and translating them into effective, actionable solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and opportunities concurrently.
- A cooperative attitude with eagerness to support and develop team members.
While prior packaging industry background is highly valued, applicants with robust technical or industrial sales experience eager to grow within this sector are also encouraged to apply.
