About the Role

This position is for a package delivery driver with a global, Fortune 500 logistics company. The role is active, outdoors, and fast-moving, requiring regular handling of parcels while maintaining strong service and safe driving standards.

Job Details

Work location: 2900 Steeles Avenue West, Concord, ON L4K 3S2

Work schedule: Tuesday to Saturday

Start times: Tuesday 9:15 AM and Saturday 9:00 AM, with flexibility needed for both start and finish times

Shift length: 8 to 10 hours per day

Employment type: Permanent, full-time, onsite

Role Summary

The job involves delivering and collecting packages efficiently, supporting loading and unloading activities, and keeping delivery information accurately recorded. It also requires solid customer interaction skills and the ability to operate safely on the road.

Responsibilities

• Carry out package deliveries and pickups in a timely and effective way.
• Use company-approved safe and defensive driving practices at all times.
• Help load and unload the vehicle when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and tracking details for delivered parcels.

Requirements

• Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs. (32 kg).
• Comfortable reading maps and using map books for navigation.
• Valid Ontario G driver’s licence or a higher class licence.
• Clean driving abstract with no violations in the current 12 months and no more than 2 violations in the previous 36 months.
• No accidents and no more than 5 demerit points in the previous 36 months.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions.
• Willingness to follow company appearance rules and wear the provided vest/uniform.

• Starting wage of $20.00 per hour.
• Pay progression under the union collective agreement, reaching $35.78 per hour after seniority plus 48 months of service.
