Overview
The Confluence Whiteboards team develops the real-time collaborative visual canvas for Atlassian Cloud, enabling teams to brainstorm, create diagrams, plan projects, and convert visual ideas into actionable Jira tasks and Confluence content.
As a P40 Full Stack Software Engineer on this team, your role involves designing, developing, and supporting features for both client and backend services. Focus areas include enhancing core canvas functionalities, optimizing real-time multiplayer performance, and integrating the product deeply with other Atlassian applications to facilitate large-scale visual collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and maintain robust, high-performance full-stack features for Confluence Whiteboards.
- Work closely with product management, design, and engineering peers to translate user requirements into user-friendly visual collaboration solutions.
- Improve real-time multiplayer system efficiency, canvas interaction capabilities, and interconnectivity between Whiteboards and Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Produce clean, testable, and maintainable code while actively participating in peer code reviews and technical design discussions.
- Maintain system health by diagnosing and addressing bugs or production problems, driving operational excellence.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and product demos.
