Role Overview

The Owner role at CB Engineers demands strategic leadership and operational oversight of the company. Based full-time onsite in Kampala, this leadership position is responsible for guiding the firm's long-term vision, facilitating business development, and fostering client relationships. The Owner will manage senior team members, coordinate resource allocation, and uphold the quality of services across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related sectors. S/he will oversee financial management including budgeting and performance metrics, promote a culture of continuous innovation and sustainability, represent the company in professional and industry venues, and identify emerging market opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and management expertise, encompassing strategic planning, staff supervision, and organizational growth.
• Substantial experience in engineering, construction, or allied professional service sectors, particularly in MEP disciplines.
• Capabilities in business development and adeptness in building and managing client portfolios.
• Proficiency in financial oversight including budget preparation, forecasting, and analyzing performance indicators.
• Understanding and application of sustainable design, energy efficiency, and water conservation principles.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills tailored for diverse stakeholders including clients and partners.
• Educational background with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or relevant disciplines; advanced degrees or licensure such as PE or LEED accreditation are advantageous.
• Experience in onsite operations and management of multidisciplinary teams within international or multicultural contexts.
