Overview
Join our Chase River bakery team as a full-time Overnight Baker Supervisor and take a key role in orchestrating the bakery's daily operations. Working closely with the Bakery Manager, you will oversee baking activities, train staff, manage inventory orders, and create enticing bakery displays.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the bakery team to maximize productivity and maintain high standards.
- Manage ordering, inventory control, and liaise with suppliers.
- Communicate performance updates, policies, and important information effectively to your team.
- Prepare and bake a variety of yeast-based items such as breads and rolls, following precise recipes and quality benchmarks.
- Accurately scale, mix, proof, and bake doughs ensuring consistent results.
- Operate commercial baking machinery safely and skillfully, including mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough dividers.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to guarantee product quality and readiness.
- Keep accurate production logs and adjust batch sizes according to demand fluctuations.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, health, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.

- Experienced baker with hands-on skills in a professional bakery environment.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to train and inspire a team.
- Strong work ethic with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Highly organized and efficient in managing tasks and challenges.
- Comfortable with early shift schedules, embracing the night baking routine.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay ranging from CA$24.00 to CA$30.50, starting typically between CA$24.00 and CA$26.25 depending on expertise.
- Additional night shift premium of CA$2 per hour.
