Responsibilities

• Transport panels on carts to designated machines while maintaining zone integrity.
• Remove panels from stacks and correctly place flanges under the sewing machine foot.
• Verify sizing based on tickets and measure each panel accordingly.
• Operate the sewing machines to attach flanges and perform overcast edge stitching in a single process around the panel edges.
• Insert and sew legal labels and production tickets on every alternate panel, marking IDs on tickets as required.
• Maintain machine operation by adding thread, replacing flange material rolls, changing needles, oiling, repairing thread breaks, and separating scrap.
• Monitor stitching quality to detect and fix defects and inspect panels for material or stitching flaws before and after sewing.
• Report any machine malfunctions causing defects to the production supervisor.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading and writing abilities.
• Completion of high school or equivalent (GED) required.
• Prior experience with industrial sewing machines is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
• Ability to stand throughout shifts and walk as needed.
• Capability to lift items weighing up to 20 pounds regularly; the job involves lifting up to 50 pounds routinely.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Work is repetitive and requires maintaining 100% efficiency levels to support the Make-To-Order system.
• Exposure to typical manufacturing hazards is expected.
