Role Overview

As a Room Service Order Taker, your primary responsibility is to manage room service orders efficiently and respond promptly to guest requests to maximize guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out duties assigned by the supervisor according to the duty schedule.
• Handle order taking and placement with guests courteously, swiftly, and effectively.
• Master all menus and current promotional offers, providing accurate recommendations upon guest inquiry.
• Maintain a professional appearance and grooming during working hours.
• Answer room service phone calls when needed.
• Stay informed about all pertinent room service issues.
• Report any cleanliness or maintenance concerns to the immediate supervisor.
• Participate in regular training sessions covering guest care, product knowledge, grooming standards, and telephone etiquette.
• Be adaptable to assist in other sections as required by the supervisor.
• Follow company policies and safety protocols diligently.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Room Service Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Preferably hold a diploma, degree in hospitality, or vocational training in food and beverage.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
• Reliable and dedicated work attitude.
