Oracle EPM Functional Consultant

Overview

We are looking for a skilled Oracle EPM Planning Cloud Functional Consultant to join our team onsite. This role focuses on delivering functional and application support across the Oracle EPM suite, especially Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) and Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS). The consultant will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical groups to assist budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and related enhancements, while maintaining smooth monthly operations and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver functional support for Oracle EPBCS and ARCS by resolving issues, supporting business queries, and implementing enhancements.
• Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into well-aligned Oracle EPM solutions for planning requirements.
• Configure and upkeep planning components such as metadata, dimensions, forms, business rules, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Support critical financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, reconciliation, and overall financial planning.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and proactively address issues.
• Create and maintain custom EPM application artifacts aiding forecasting and budgeting.
• Assist in planning, estimating, designing, impact assessment, and implementing new enhancements.
• Prepare and update technical documentation encompassing interfaces, solution designs, and impact assessments.
• Monitor progress of tasks and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies effectively.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot data integration processes within the EPM environment.
• Support automation efforts, including data loads, backups, refreshes, and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with technical teams on integration changes and production support.
• Manage Oracle EPM Cloud security measures, user access administration, and audit tracking.
• Oversee Oracle EPM production systems by monitoring alerts, release statuses, and module updates.
• Review monthly Oracle updates for potential application or business impacts.
• Maintain operational logs and support documentation diligently.
• Execute scheduled backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Support monthly maintenance activities, including log reviews and update assessments.
• Conduct unit testing, assist in system integration testing (SIT), and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Facilitate production deployment activities and provide post-deployment support and hypercare.
• Address cross-functional queries, Jira tickets, and service requests promptly.
• Prioritize tasks aligned with business needs, capacity, and urgency, also managing task assignments as needed.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Comprehensive Oracle EPM Cloud functional knowledge, especially in implementation and support scenarios.
• Proficiency with Oracle EPBCS / Planning Cloud and Oracle ARCS platforms.
• Deep understanding of financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, management reporting, and month-end operations.
• Strong ability to collaborate with finance teams to capture requirements and design suitable EPM solutions.
• Experience with EPM Data Management tools, data integration, data exchange, and integration troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Calculation Manager, business rules, Smart View, forms, dashboards, reports, valid intersections, and security configurations.
• Hands-on experience using EPM Automate or similar utilities to automate data load, backup, refresh, and reporting workflows.
• Knowledge of integrations between Oracle EPM and ERP systems is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience supporting application maintenance, delivery of enhancements, incident resolution, and managing service requests.
• Capability to assess impacts, estimate efforts, create documentation, conduct testing, and assist deployment.
• Experience working with Jira or equivalent service management tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based support environments is preferred.

Desirable Attributes and Additional Experience

• Experience working in public sector or large enterprise financial environments.
• Possession of Oracle EPM Cloud certifications is a plus.
• Exposure to Agile project delivery methodologies and cross-functional teamwork.
• Working knowledge or experience with Oracle EBS Financials adds value.
