Oracle Developer

Role Overview

This full-time hybrid position is for an Oracle Developer located in Abu Dhabi, offering the option to work partially from home. The developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle database solutions geared towards satellite data processing and related projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize database structures to enhance performance.
• Create and maintain Oracle Reports tailored to project requirements.
• Build and manage ETL processes for imaging and telemetry data integration.
• Collaborate with engineering and research teams to convert technical needs into reliable software solutions.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Contribute to thorough documentation, testing, and ongoing improvements of software and data systems.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Solid expertise in data modeling and relational database schema design and optimization.
• Proficient in Oracle Reports development, customization, and tuning for optimal performance.
• Experienced with ETL techniques including integration, cleansing, and transformation of data.
• Good foundation in software development, especially with Oracle tools, PL/SQL, and scripting languages.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Capable of working effectively in hybrid settings and cross-functional teams with strong independent task management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
• Background in data-heavy or scientific/engineering projects, notably in imaging or satellite fields, is beneficial.
