Job description
Position Overview
This role involves managing high availability (HA) Oracle databases, mainly version 19c and above, at an enterprise scale. The candidate will be responsible for various administrative tasks including database patching, provisioning, cloning, and Role Based Access Control (RBAC) implementations along with lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Expertly administer Oracle databases focusing on enterprise HA environments, predominantly 19c and newer versions.
- Perform database patching, provisioning, cloning, and implement RBAC policies as part of lifecycle management.
- Manage Oracle technologies including Active Data Guard (ADG), Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and Recovery Manager (RMAN).
- Utilize Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and conduct database performance tuning.
- Architect and design distributed systems and databases primarily based on Oracle 19c and higher.
- Possess or welcome experience with Linux and Windows operating system administration.
- Additional value for candidates with skills in database orchestration, automation, use of Ansible playbooks, and API management at the database level.
