About the Role
We are looking to recruit a skilled Oracle Applications Developer to lead our IT department in enhancing business technologies and systems. This role focuses on designing, building, and refining Oracle-based software and databases that support enterprise functions to ensure high performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, develop, maintain, and improve Oracle applications utilizing Oracle APEX, Forms/Reports, PL/SQL, and SQL.
- Collect and interpret business needs from stakeholders to craft detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Manage development and customization of Oracle Forms/Reports applications, including versions 6i through 12c.
- Write and sustain advanced PL/SQL components such as procedures, packages, functions, triggers, views, and other database elements.
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving applications, databases, and systems through troubleshooting and debugging.
- Enhance SQL queries and overall database performance by tuning procedures and identifying bottlenecks.
- Support integration, testing, deployment, and upkeep of Oracle applications across departments.
- Modify and upgrade existing Oracle applications according to changing business needs.
- Collaborate closely with business users to provide tailored technical solutions.
- Conduct application, system integration, and user acceptance tests; offer ongoing production support.
- Maintain data integrity, application security, access controls, and enforce Oracle development best practices.
- Prepare thorough technical documentation including system specs, user guides, and change logs.
- Offer technical support and mentorship to junior developers and users.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Between 4 to 8 years of practical experience in Oracle application and database development.
- Proficiency in Oracle APEX for application development.
- Competence in Oracle Forms and Reports design and customization.
- Strong command over Oracle PL/SQL and SQL programming.
- Experienced in managing Oracle database components like tables, views, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Expertise in SQL query tuning and database performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 is a distinct advantage.
