Position Overview

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our dynamic Arnott’s Avondale team. This position is suited to individuals experienced in machinery operation within a fast-moving environment, who can maintain composure, focus, and a solution-oriented approach. You will manage packing machinery and feed product consistently on the line, ensuring quality and seamless production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up machines, conduct changeovers, operate and resolve issues with equipment while adhering to Arnott’s OH&S, Quality, and Performance standards.
  • Maintain consistent operation of packing machines and product feeding stations.
  • Perform quality control inspections during shifts to uphold production standards.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and hygiene protocols, keeping all process areas clean and regulatory compliant.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to achieve daily production goals.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Provide coaching and support to develop team members.

Candidate Requirements

  • Prior experience as a machine operator within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong mechanical skills and confidence in troubleshooting equipment.
  • Understanding and commitment to safety, team dynamics, and quality principles.
  • Familiarity with 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices is advantageous.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a rapid-paced setting.
  • A mindset oriented towards continual improvement.
  • Consistently strong attendance and performance records.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong collaboration skills.

Additional Information

  • Applicants must pass a full medical examination including drug and alcohol screening as part of the recruitment process.
