Job description

About Bolt

Bolt is revolutionizing urban mobility by putting people before cars. Founded in 2013 by a young entrepreneur, Bolt has grown into a global platform serving over 200 million users and more than 4.5 million drivers and couriers across 50 countries. Our offerings range from ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, all operated by agile, autonomous teams that combine startup agility with the scale of a tech giant backed by over €1 billion.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Operations Specialist to lead the commercial growth of our German market by developing, managing, and scaling strategic partnerships and programs that position Bolt as the preferred choice for riders. The role requires identifying overlooked opportunities to introduce impactful initiatives such as airport collaborations or loyalty perks that enhance retention and unlock new customer segments. You will apply operational expertise and strong analytical skills to measure and report performance, drive growth via business development, strategic partnerships, loyalty programs, and coordinate cross-functional product launches to enhance rider experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with airports, venues, and other external entities to increase demand and improve rider satisfaction.
  • Develop and expand Bolt's loyalty and membership program (e.g., Bolt Plus) in Germany by discovering innovative ways to enhance customer value and revenue.
  • Construct business cases for new partnerships and initiatives, negotiate terms, and oversee relationships post-launch.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze pilot programs to test new offers, partnerships, or features before scaling.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Growth, and Marketing teams to successfully launch initiatives that drive demand and rider satisfaction.
  • Conduct rider research and user experience testing to validate assumptions and ensure solutions address rider needs.
  • Monitor and report on partnership and initiative results, using data to focus on successful tactics and discard ineffective ones.
  • Represent Bolt at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings to build a network fueling new opportunities.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, partnerships, commercial strategy, or operations, including negotiating and managing external partnerships.
  • Fluent in both German and English with excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of handling negotiations and stakeholder communications effectively.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a data-driven approach, proficient in Excel or Google Sheets to support ideas with solid data.
  • Comfortable with negotiating commercial contracts and cultivating external partner relationships from initiation to agreement.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, recognizing opportunities and independently developing and championing business cases.
  • Skilled at cross-functional collaboration, adept at juggling multiple stakeholders across Product, Growth, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Humble and team-oriented, prioritizing company success over personal recognition.
  • Motivated by in-person networking, industry events, and conferences to develop a robust pipeline of opportunities.

Why Bolt?

  • Accelerate your career growth with unique development opportunities.
  • Competitive salary with stock options aligning your success with the company’s growth.
  • Comprehensive wellness benefits supporting mental and physical health.
  • Paid sabbatical of one month after five years of service to recharge.
  • Engage with colleagues during annual company gatherings and smaller team events.
  • Enjoy a hybrid work model balancing remote flexibility with at least 12 office days per month.
