Operations Manager

Overview

Nord Anglia International School Al Khor in Qatar is actively seeking an Operations Manager to lead comprehensive operational activities on campus. This leadership role encompasses health and safety, facilities oversight, contract governance, legal compliance, campus infrastructure planning, and personnel management for support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic leadership related to health and safety policies, facility operations, and campus planning initiatives.
• Manage capital projects from a day-to-day perspective, including capital expenditure budgeting, governance protocols, and risk assessment.
• Supervise renovations, structural changes, and major procurement tasks, coordinating with landlords, contractors, and design teams.
• Oversee management of third-party service contracts concerning security, cleaning, maintenance, transportation, and catering services on campus.
• Ensure adherence to Qatar regulatory standards, Nord Anglia Education requirements, and legal compliance.
• Lead budgeting efforts, procurement processes, and logistical arrangements for events in all non-academic areas.
• Line manage roles including Procurement Officer, Operations Assistant, facilities team members, bus support assistants, and medical staff.
• Collaborate with the Extended Leadership Team for campus space allocation, room relocations, and building maintenance plans.
• Provide guidance to the Principal regarding resource allocation and pursue cost efficiencies by negotiating with vendors and suppliers.

Candidate Profile

• A university degree is essential.
• Relevant prior experience in operations management or a similar role is required.
• Exceptional leadership capabilities paired with strong communication skills.
• High standards of integrity and ethics.
• Excellent organizational abilities and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and capable of meeting deadlines.
• Proactive approach with aptitude to motivate others and demonstrate flexibility to adapt in changing environments.
• Desirable: Experience working within Qatar or the Middle East region.
