Williams Construction Kauai is a design-build firm located on the island of Kauai, specializing in conceptualizing, designing, and constructing exquisite luxury homes amidst a breathtaking environment.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong passion for leadership, training, mentoring, and continuous process enhancement. The ideal candidate thrives on people management and operational improvements within the construction or hospitality sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations emphasizing people and process management in a luxury residential design-build setting.
  • Lead a diverse team of up to 40 individuals including Project Managers, Tradesmen, Designers, Architects, and Administrative personnel.
  • Serve as a key communication link between company leadership and ownership.
  • Evaluate current systems and procedures, proposing improvements to boost efficiency and productivity.
  • Cultivate a positive company culture and sustain team morale through proactive, personalized management.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all ongoing project statuses.
  • Identify and recommend leadership growth opportunities for team members.
  • Act as the driving force behind maintaining high morale, productivity, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years in Operations Management, Project Management, or equivalent roles within Construction or Hospitality Operations.
  • Experience leading and managing varied cross-functional teams for 5 to 7 years.
  • Demonstrated success in enhancing productivity, improving communication, and optimizing workflows.
  • Basic understanding of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with team members, leadership, owners, and clients.
  • Adaptable and resilient personality traits.
  • Leadership that is humble, approachable, and in tune with business needs.
  • Proven capacity to train, encourage, and inspire teams toward optimal performance.
  • Possesses a great sense of humor and enthusiasm for teamwork in a small company environment.
  • Willingness and desire to reside and work on Kauai.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $125,000 to $145,000 annually.
