Operation Support Specialist

Overview

This role provides essential operational support in Jamaica by analyzing, managing, and aligning processes linked to the precise recording of costs and expenses. The position entails developing financial and operational reports, overseeing inventory control, preparing best estimate reports, analyzing discrepancies, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvements to optimize workflows, tools, and response times for internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

• Update, validate, and distribute management reports accurately.
• Track budget execution, issuing alerts and recommendations to ensure adherence to financial plans.
• Conduct monthly operational closing tasks.
• Prepare and deliver Best Estimates punctually.
• Support and oversee PACS compliance, especially around RSI, obsolete inventory, and commercial authorization processes.
• Assist with calculating and tracking operational KPIs.
• Create and maintain cost and inventory reports utilizing pivot tables.
• Address alerts generated for the Operational Support team to maintain strict process control.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and suggest corrective and continuous enhancement initiatives for reporting and operations.
• Provide support to the Operations team as required.
• Handle processes related to RSI matters.
• Participate and provide assistance during PACS, SOX, and KPMG audits.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Proficiency ranging from intermediate to advanced in Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent service orientation.
• Strong strategic thinking coupled with analytical capabilities.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
• Familiarity with Power BI is advantageous.
• Flexibility with work schedules and availability.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial analysis.
• Expertise in KPI monitoring and performance measurement.
• Experience managing and controlling budgets.
• Strong background in data analysis and operational/financial scenario planning.
