Job description
About the Role
We are looking for a dependable, proactive, and physically capable Operation Support Officer to assist with the day-to-day operations of a Ministry of Education high school located near Tanah Merah MRT. This role involves close collaboration with the Principal, Vice-Principal, Operations Manager, Administration Manager, and school personnel to maintain a secure, tidy, and efficiently managed educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the school premises are kept clean, including performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and rubbish removal in CCA venues, staff rooms, and special rooms.
- Arrange and rearrange furniture for various events like meetings, exams, and functions as required.
- Transport heavy items across different locations within the school compound.
- Secure classrooms by locking and unlocking as necessary.
- Operate and maintain basic office machinery and supplies when needed.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Reporting Officer.
Job Requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Experience in any of the following areas is advantageous: logistics, cleaning, administrative tasks, or school-related roles.
- Good physical fitness and resilience to fulfill the demands of the position.
- Willingness and ability to work on rotating shifts including Saturdays if required.
Employment Details
- Contract term: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027.
- Working hours: Monday to Friday with rotating shifts including a 30-minute lunch break, from 6:00am to 3:00pm or 10:00am to 7:00pm.
- No work required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
- Work location: Tanah Merah, Singapore.
