Job Overview
Join ARC Document Solutions in Vancouver, BC as an Onsite Print Specialist working full-time Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This role involves managing a variety of reprographic services within a professional office setting, producing high-quality printed materials using diverse print machinery, and ensuring timely delivery according to customer requirements. You'll maintain equipment and workspace standards with a proactive “Whatever it Takes” attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive reproduction services including large format and small format printing in black & white and color, plotting, and bindery tasks.
- Interpret and fulfill client print orders and requests accurately.
- Collaborate with other ARC divisions for offsite job production when volume exceeds onsite capacity.
- Manage post-production processes such as trimming, binding, and finishing; refer non-standard finishing to specialized ARC divisions or partners.
- Perform routine maintenance on print equipment including cleaning, clearing paper jams, refilling toner, and loading paper.
- Handle customer service calls related to printing issues and escalate to appropriate resources when needed.
- Support end-users in optimizing functionality of printing devices.
- Collect meter usage data when requested.
- Process inbound and outbound mail and coordinate courier services such as Fed-Ex and UPS.
- Manage mailroom supplies, ensuring adequate inventory and timely ordering.
- Provide reception relief duties as required for the corporate client.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of one year experience in a print production environment.
- Familiarity with computer software including Adobe, Microsoft Outlook, Windows operating systems, and Fiery print servers.
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey job-related information.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, reliability, and punctuality within an office setting while meeting deadlines.
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to lift and handle objects weighing between 10 and 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended durations, work amid noise, and communicate effectively in English. Reasonable accommodations are available to support individuals with disabilities.
