Job description
About Gloria Jeans
Gloria Jeans stands as one of the largest vertically integrated fast fashion retailers, celebrated for its rich denim heritage and accessible fashion for families and younger consumers. The company manages over 600 stores across Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus, complemented by a robust marketplace and e-commerce presence. Headquartered in Dubai, Gloria Jeans is primed for international growth, aiming to increase its brand.com sales from 1-2% to a targeted 15-20% of total revenue.
Role Purpose
The Online Merchandiser will oversee the daily commercial performance and display of products on brand.com. This role ensures that the right products are prominently visible, easy to find, correctly priced, and strategically positioned to optimize conversion throughout the customer journey—from homepage and category pages to product detail pages (PDP) and the shopping cart.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage category and range merchandising, maintaining product assortment depth and breadth in line with demand and stock, curating homepage and category pages featuring priority ranges, new arrivals, and best sellers, controlling product sequencing and ranking to balance commercial priorities with customer relevance, and collaborating with Buying/Merchandising to align store and online assortments including exclusive and online-only SKUs.
- Oversee search accuracy, tuning relevance, managing synonyms, and curating merchandised search results in partnership with site search vendors; maintain and enhance filter and facet logic to minimize zero-result searches and boost product discoverability; analyze site search and navigation data to identify and resolve bottlenecks from site traffic to product page and cart conversion.
- Implement pricing, promotions, and markdown strategies according to the calendar in collaboration with Growth, Merchandising, and CRM teams; monitor discount levels and timing to preserve margins while accelerating sell-through; ensure precise and timely price and promotional updates across brand.com and connected marketplace channels.
- Maintain product detail page content quality standards including images, sizing, attributes, descriptions, and cross/up-sell placements; work with Creative/Content teams to prioritize photography and copy for key launches and categories; audit content completeness and accuracy ahead of major launches and campaigns.
- Support the introduction and merchandising of new categories such as Home and Beauty, including third-party and marketplace SKU integration; define category navigation, attribute sets, and merchandising rules; coordinate with Operations regarding category-specific needs like expiry-sensitive handling in Beauty.
- Monitor and report on SKU and category performance metrics such as sell-through rate, stock turnover, conversion rates, and margin; identify underperforming products or ranges and recommend markdowns, re-merchandising, or removal; contribute insights to the e-commerce conversion optimization roadmap.
- Collaborate closely with VP E-commerce, Buying/Merchandising, CRM, Digital Product/IT, and Marketplace teams to ensure alignment in assortment and content across brand.com and marketplace platforms.
Candidate Profile
- Fluency in Russian is essential.
- Between three to six years of experience in online merchandising, e-commerce trading, or digital buying, with preference for backgrounds in fashion and retail.
- Demonstrated hands-on capability with e-commerce platforms, search and merchandising tools, and product information management/content management systems.
- Strong analytical aptitude with proficiency in Excel and business intelligence tools, comfortable handling SKU-level and customer funnel data.
- Solid understanding of fashion retail merchandising concepts including sell-through rates, markdown timing, and range planning.
- Detail-oriented, execution-driven, and adaptable to a fast-moving, dynamic digital retail environment.

- Opportunities for career advancement within a rapidly scaling global fashion retail company.
