Position Overview

Key Duties

• Accurately pick and assemble customer orders from various temperature zones to ensure timely delivery, confirming product choices, quantities, and codes during packing.
• Choose fresh and high-quality items while discarding damaged or incorrect products, and properly complete all related documentation and labeling requirements.
• Efficiently pack totes, optimizing space use without compromising product condition or safety standards.
• Balance operational responsibilities with helpful customer service, assisting with inquiries and resolving problems as they arise.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace by adhering to food safety and hygiene practices, promptly cleaning spills, sanitizing totes, operating equipment safely, and completing safety checks.
• Exhibit adaptability by accepting shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to support smooth store operations.

Challenges of the Role

• Handle a demanding volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, managing overnight hours with suitable planning to sustain focus and energy.
• Carry out physically demanding duties such as prolonged standing, bending, lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive tasks like stocking, zoning, and maintaining product organization, ensuring consistency and adherence to store standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $17.75 per hour.
