Job description

Role Overview

The Government Relation Officer acts as a crucial intermediary connecting the private enterprise with multiple levels of government institutions. The primary goal is to foster, maintain, and improve cooperative engagements with government representatives and agencies to advocate on behalf of the company. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and influencing public policy aligned with the company's strategic aims.

Crewing Related Duties

  • Coordinate the daily issuance of Aramco IDs for shore personnel, offshore crew, and third-party contractors through the Aramco ID offices.
  • Handle the arrangement of Coast Guard passes and Zawil passes (Saudi government port access permits) on a daily basis for shore staff, offshore team members, and contractors.
  • Serve as the company's liaison for managing operational and administrative concerns at both the Aramco office and port facilities.

Base Office Responsibilities

  • Support the resolution of vehicle accident incidents, including processing relevant government paperwork required for insurance claims.
  • Organize the allocation of Aramco vehicle stickers for the Safaniyah office and third-party contracted vehicles.
  • Provide assistance to onshore and offshore employees requiring hospital support, ensuring proper follow-up and coordination.
  • Build and sustain strong professional relationships with government officials, agencies, and other related entities to back organizational goals.
  • Manage all visa-related activities such as Iqama renewals, cancellations, exit and re-entry permits, alongside other documentation for employees.
  • Supervise the punctual renewal and management of company licenses and permits, including but not limited to Ministry of Investment licenses, Municipality licenses, and Civil Defence certifications.
  • Guarantee organizational adherence to government legislation and regulations by collaborating with various internal departments and handling official correspondence.
