Officer, Equity Settlement

Position Overview

The Officer, Equity Settlement is an entry-level role tasked with supporting operational activities related to trade reconciliation, settlement, and share transfer processes. The main goal is to facilitate the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational assistance in Trade Settlement, Share Transfers, Scrip Conversions, and Equity Linked Notes settlement processes.
• Conduct investigations and reconciliations of position holdings and internal bank accounts.
• Ensure timely processing of transactions, consistently meeting or surpassing service standards with both internal and external clients.
• Independently address most problems and possess some discretion in resolving complex issues.
• Monitor the progress of assignments to ensure completion by established deadlines.
• Apply professional judgment, discretion, and subject-matter expertise to tackle varied and complex challenges impacting the business.

Qualifications and Skills

• Familiarity or experience with Trade settlements, Equity Linked Notes, Share Transfers, and Scrip Conversions in equities is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities or projects concurrently in a high-risk environment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines and adapting to changes in requirements.
• Willingness to collaborate as part of a team, including the flexibility to work overtime or during weekends/public holidays as business needs arise.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Possession of a degree or diploma in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, or related fields.
