Role Overview

As an Offensive Security Consultant, you'll join our cybersecurity team to identify and address vulnerabilities in client systems. This role involves performing penetration tests, analyzing security gaps, and partnering with experienced specialists to enhance security postures. It suits detail-focused professionals eager to refine skills in ethical hacking and security evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute large-scale and focused penetration testing engagements for enterprise clients.
• Assess security of client applications across web, mobile, and desktop platforms, as well as networks and systems.
• Conduct blackbox, greybox, and whitebox penetration tests supported by source code analysis.
• Use various vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies, documenting findings and proposing remediation steps.
• Compose comprehensive reports prioritizing risks and offering actionable security recommendations.
• Effectively communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders, clarifying security necessities and potential impacts.
• Provide expert offensive security guidance spanning diverse technologies and solutions, including security reviews.
• Stay updated on newest vulnerabilities, exploits, and security trends, contributing to continuous team enhancement via research of novel tools and approaches.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience conducting network, web, and mobile penetration tests for clients.
• Solid foundational knowledge of networking principles, operating systems, and common web application security concepts.
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, and Nmap.
• Capability to analyze application source code to identify security concerns related to business logic, authentication, authorization, input validation, and data handling.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical details clearly to diverse audiences.
• Sharp analytical abilities for spotting vulnerabilities in complex systems.
• Professionalism, respect, and compassion aligned with Mantel's principles, along with sound judgment and ownership mindset.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience with AI-driven penetration testing and security tools.
• Programming skills in modern languages to support security testing.
• Ability to develop scripts, tooling, and proof-of-concept code to enhance code-assisted penetration testing efforts.
