Job description
Overview
We are seeking a proficient and driven Odoo / Python Developer to join our team in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and customizing Odoo modules, leveraging strong Python programming skills to build robust business applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Odoo modules aligned with business needs.
- Customize Odoo workflows, reports, views, and business processes to enhance functionality.
- Integrate Odoo with REST and third-party APIs to extend system capabilities.
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL database operations and queries for better performance.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and technical issues.
- Interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions effectively.
- Collaborate closely with development and business teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Odoo development and customization.
- Strong expertise in Python programming language.
- In-depth knowledge of Odoo ORM, including Models, Views, Controllers, Wizards, as well as security and access controls.
- Experience with Odoo module development and customization processes.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL database management.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and QWeb (XML templating).
- Experience with API integrations is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Hands-on experience with Odoo versions 15 through 19.
- Background in integrating payment gateways, e-commerce systems, logistics, accounting, or other third-party platforms.
- Knowledge of version control using Git and working within Linux environments.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructures such as AWS.
