Occupational Therapist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our teams at Ribble View and Wytham Lodge care homes located in Preston and Padiham. This full-time contract involves working 32 hours weekly, either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, with a 50/50 split between the two care homes.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored occupational therapy services supporting residents' independence and progress.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to create and implement personalized occupational therapy interventions.
• Work closely with the multi-disciplinary Therapy Team, including Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants, and Activities Coordinators.
• Manage a clinical caseload, performing assessments and maintaining detailed and accurate records.
• Promote the principles of choice, dignity, and independence in all care activities.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a BSc or MSc degree in Occupational Therapy and is registered with the HCPC.
• Possesses an in-depth understanding of occupational therapy best practices and a broad range of intervention techniques.
• Exemplifies a compassionate, kind, and fun attitude with excellent organizational, communication, and listening skills.
• Demonstrates creativity and motivation to inspire those they support, embodying values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success, and teamwork.

Employment Details

The position offers an annual salary of £33,940. The care homes boast a "Good" rating from the CQC.
