About The Role

The Doris Duan-Young Autism Center (DDY) located in Dubai Healthcare City is a leading multidisciplinary facility committed to delivering innovative and evidence-based occupational therapy programs supported by recognized professional accreditations and certifications. We are currently looking to hire enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapists to join our professional and supportive multi-disciplinary team. This opportunity allows candidates based in Dubai or those considering relocation to advance their careers within a nurturing and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough physical assessments of children to identify specific therapeutic needs.
• Recommend suitable adaptive equipment facilitating children's daily living activities.
• Design and implement physical rehabilitation programs aimed at assisting children to regain lost skills.
• Create treatment plans considering assessments of home and work environments.
• Monitor and reassess patient progress, adjusting therapy programs accordingly.
• Manage and maintain adequate inventory of therapy materials and equipment by following established procedures.
• Document and complete all necessary clinical records, reports, and statistics adhering to occupational therapy policies and professional standards.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and caregivers regarding patient care progress.
• Commit to ongoing professional development to maintain up-to-date clinical expertise, fulfilling continuing education requirements for re-licensing.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable safety, health, and quality control regulations and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Have a minimum of 2 years pediatric clinical experience.
• Hold or be eligible to obtain a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license.
• Demonstrate strong English communication abilities.
• Experience in conducting patient assessments and preparing progress reports.
• Familiarity with Sensory Integration techniques is preferred.
