Role Overview

The Occupational Therapist position is a full-time hybrid role based in Brisbane, Queensland. The role involves a blend of in-person client engagement and remote work for suitable tasks. Key responsibilities include evaluating clients’ functional capabilities, designing and implementing client-centered intervention plans, and facilitating rehabilitation programs aimed at improving autonomy and life quality. The role also requires collaborating closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to case discussions.

Occupational therapy services will be provided across diverse environments such as homes, community venues, and clinics. The therapist will support clients with both mental and physical health challenges, ensuring adherence to ClearSky’s values and professional standards. Additional duties include engaging in quality improvement initiatives, pursuing ongoing professional development, and supporting a positive and inclusive team culture.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong expertise and formal training in occupational therapy encompassing assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of medicine and rehabilitation to facilitate comprehensive, goal-directed care and sound clinical judgments.
• Excellent communication skills, including precise documentation, teamwork collaboration, and culturally sensitive engagement with clients and families.
• Experience or keen interest in paediatric occupational therapy, supporting children and youths with varied developmental and functional needs.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in occupational therapy with current registration or eligibility with the appropriate professional and regulatory bodies.
• Preferred experience in community or allied health environments, particularly related to mental health, disability services, or NDIS-funded programs.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards, person-focused care, and lifelong professional development.
• Capability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams, alongside effective time management and organisational skills.
• Possession of a current driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client appointments when necessary.
