Role Overview

The hospital is expanding its specialist team and operating theatre capacity to meet growing demands. We are seeking skilled Neurosurgery Technicians to join our team in a permanent full-time role (38 hours per week). The successful candidates will play a crucial role in enhancing our neuro-perioperative services across four theatres by supporting Navigation, Imaging, and Robotics technology during surgeries, managing surgical instruments, and ensuring patient care excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Nurse Service Manager in delivering safe, high-quality perioperative patient care.
• Coordinate, prepare, and troubleshoot specialized surgical tools and technologically advanced systems including navigation, imaging, and robotics in both planned and emergency settings.
• Serve as the technical expert on navigation and imaging equipment, providing specialist support to surgeons and operating teams.
• Ensure proper patient positioning and theatre setup, confirm availability of equipment, and complete post-operation checks such as documentation and tray reconciliation.
• Oversee surgical equipment and implant logistics including ordering, upkeep, management of loan sets, supplier communication, and cost control.
• Report equipment-related risks, workflow changes, and theatre readiness issues to theatre management and assist with patient transfers.

Candidates should demonstrate independence and effectiveness within multidisciplinary teams, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and maintain a solutions-oriented attitude while adept with modern medical technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from $97,222 to $99,892 plus 12% superannuation.
