Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Network Support Engineer based in Noida (Sector 16) to manage and support our network infrastructure on a 24x7 shift basis. The role demands monitoring network connectivity and alerts, providing first-level support, and coordinating with various teams to resolve network-related issues.
- Continuously monitor network infrastructure, connectivity, and alerts with network monitoring tools.
- Offer Level 1 support for LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity problems.
- Troubleshoot fundamental network issues involving switches, routers, access points, firewalls, and other devices.
- Use networking tools like Ping, Tracert/Traceroute, IPConfig/IFConfig, NSLookup, Telnet for basic troubleshooting tasks.
- Diagnose issues related to IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, gateways, and overall connectivity.
- Perform VLAN and port-level troubleshooting at a basic level.
- Check status and utilization of network devices and interfaces including link status and errors.
- Collaborate with ISPs, OEMs, and Level 2/3 network teams to resolve complex technical problems.
- Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM or ticketing systems, following incident management, escalation, and SLA procedures.
- Provide remote troubleshooting assistance and user support.
- Document incidents, troubleshooting actions, and resolutions meticulously.
- Monitor network alerts and escalate critical or priority one issues as per designated escalation matrix.
- Assist in configuration changes of network devices under guidance of senior network teams.
- Support network installation activities including patching, cabling, and rack/device checks.
- Maintain network-related reports along with daily operational checklists.
Eligibility and Qualification
The position requires any graduate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in network support or related areas.
