Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced .NET Senior Engineer specialized in AI-assisted coding who is passionate about transforming digital experiences. This role involves developing sophisticated AI-enhanced backend solutions to support business needs in booking, payments, and loyalty services.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for designing, developing, and operating .NET backend services and Backend-for-Frontend solutions, particularly those related to booking, payment, and loyalty systems.
• Manage integration contracts focusing on handling failures, ensuring idempotency, and transaction retry mechanisms.
• Leverage agentic coding tools as the standard approach for implementation, refactoring, automatic test generation, and codebase navigation.
• Define and enforce team guidelines for AI-assisted development, specifying allowed use cases, restrictions, and mandatory human validations prior to code merging.
• Maintain up-to-date context materials such as repository standards, agent instructions, prompts, and scripts to ensure consistent improvements across the team.
• Conduct thorough reviews of backend pull requests authored by both human developers and AI tools, vigilantly searching for fabricated APIs, outdated dependencies, hidden complexities in performance-critical paths, and ineffective test assertions.
• Mentor and collaborate with 1-2 backend engineers while acting as the technical liaison to directors, product managers, and QA teams.
• Participate in root cause analysis investigations following production incidents to implement effective fixes, improved logging, and preventative safeguards.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

• At least 7 years of backend development with C#/.NET, including a minimum of 2 years owning and maintaining a live production system while continuing active coding responsibilities.
• Regular utilization of agentic coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Copilot) in production environments, demonstrating measurable improvements in project scope, development cycle time, test coverage, or enabling refactorings that would otherwise not be undertaken.
• Strong expertise in code reviews, with established methodologies for identifying AI-related errors.
• Proven experience integrating third-party transactional APIs such as payment service providers or booking engines where partial failures have financial impact.
• Adaptability to fast-paced, short-iteration delivery cycles with feature flagging and frequent deployments.

Desired Additional Qualifications

• Experience establishing or documenting AI-assisted software development standards, such as review processes, agent instructions, or prompt libraries.
• Knowledge of high-traffic transactional or multi-market platforms involving multiple currencies.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and distributed tracing tools, alongside production debugging using New Relic or similar solutions.
• Comfort working with frontend technologies including React and Flutter clients, as well as CMS-driven content.
