Overview
Syna Tiger Resort, located in Bandhavgarh, Madhya Pradesh, seeks an engaged and passionate Naturalist who appreciates the forest beyond its safari appeal. The role entails developing a thorough grasp of the forest's ecology, wildlife, and communities, and spearheading meaningful initiatives focused on nature, conservation, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide immersive wildlife and nature experiences for resort guests.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of Central India's flora, fauna, and ecosystems.
- Explain animal behaviors, forest dynamics, water systems, habitats, and human-nature relationships.
- Lead nature walks, birdwatching, interpretation sessions, and other experiential programs.
- Craft engaging narratives to foster guests' understanding of the environment beyond species identification.
- Observe, record, and communicate ecological changes and opportunities for improvement.
- Research and design new nature-centric experiences and conservation initiatives.
- Identify and propose opportunities aimed at habitat enhancement, biodiversity conservation, and responsible tourism.
- Engage with local communities to learn about indigenous knowledge and regional cultural history.
- Collaborate with the broader team to develop long-term conservation, sustainability, and landscape management projects.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified or experienced Naturalist deeply passionate about wildlife and ecology.
- Strong familiarity with Central Indian forests; knowledge of Bandhavgarh is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and interpretive skills.
- Possess a valid driving license and confidence in driving, including extended stints in the field.
- Enjoy spending considerable time outdoors; naturally curious and observant.
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude for independently generating ideas.
- Comfortable operating across hospitality, conservation, nature education, and sustainability disciplines.
- A collaborative team member eager to exceed standard job expectations.
