Job description
About Quester and Role Overview
At Quester, we specialize in crafting immersive real-world side quests—engaging, humorous, story-rich experiences set around the city and inside entertainment venues. We are seeking a highly imaginative Narrative Designer to develop these interactive adventures that encourage people to explore outside their homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop original side quests, missions, and storylines that captivate participants.
- Create fun, share-worthy moments that inspire users to film and share their experiences.
- Transform ordinary locations into integral parts of engaging experiences.
- Write compelling characters, interactions, clues, and ensure smooth progression throughout quests.
- Stay attuned to current trends and rapidly translate them into playable concepts.
- Design quests for both Quester’s original content and partner venues.
- Analyze and understand what elements make games like GTA entertaining without directly copying them.
- Collaborate closely with the team to test ideas and iterate improvements informed by actual user feedback.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
We prioritize creativity and insight into what people find genuinely enjoyable over formal degrees. Experience in game design, storytelling, creative direction, immersive experiences, event management, or content creation is considered an asset.
Additional Information
- Location preference: Qatar-based candidates preferred.
- Employment type: Part-time, initially project-based.
- This role requires a strong passion for developing engaging quests beyond simplistic tasks like taking photos at locations.
