Overview
A prominent financial institution in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Functional Business Analyst to lead Front Office migration efforts for their Murex greenfield implementation project. This position requires on-site presence in Riyadh.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead migration and upgrade activities involving Front Office trading, pricing, and risk functionalities within the Murex platform, such as upgrading from MX.3 v2.x to v3.1 or transitioning from legacy trading systems to Murex.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure accurate migration and validation of trade capture, pricing, and market risk functionalities.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Murex version 3.1.
- Work alongside Front Office users to validate profit and loss, sensitivities (Greeks), and risk metrics before and after migration.
- Utilize comprehensive expertise in Murex workflows including trade lifecycle, system interface workflow development, confirmation generation, error handling, and OSP processes.
- Support data migration efforts involving trade and static data migration, as well as reconciliation of legacy vs. Murex positions and trade mapping.
- Identify and recommend improvements to current solutions through analytical and technical proficiency.
- Coordinate cutover strategies, oversee go-live operations, and provide post-implementation support.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive experience of 7 to 10 years working with Murex, including 5 to 7 years focused on migration projects.
- Well-versed in a variety of financial products such as Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD), Fixed Income Derivatives (FXD), bonds, repurchase agreements, commodities, and equities.
- Hands-on expertise with Murex (MX.2 or MX.3) spanning configuration, workflows, and functional modules including FO/MO/BO, Risk, Collateral, Confirmations, Accounting, and Payments.
- Strong functional knowledge specifically with Murex MX.3 Front Office modules covering trade capture, pricing, market data, and both pre-deal and post-deal workflows.
- Experience managing at least one comprehensive Murex implementation or migration lifecycle.
- Keen understanding of data migration and reconciliation techniques.
Additional Desirable Skills
- Basic familiarity with SQL, Murex Datamart, or other reporting platforms is an added advantage.
