Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer for a leading FMCG beverage manufacturer based in Northampton. This role involves working in a highly automated production environment, focusing on planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability and plant performance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Execute planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis projects.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety standards including HSE guidelines and lockout-tagout procedures.
• Maintain comprehensive maintenance records using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Candidate Requirements

• Possess an NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or HNC qualification in Engineering.
• Experience in multi-skilled maintenance within manufacturing sectors, ideally FMCG, food, or beverage industries.
• Strong electrical fault-finding expertise.
• Willingness and ability to work on a rotating 4 days on, 4 days off shift schedule covering both days and nights.
