Role Overview

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a predominant electrical skillset to join a busy manufacturing site in Westbury-On-Severn, Gloucestershire. Key Responsibilities

• Execute planned preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
• Identify and rectify faults in electrical and mechanical systems efficiently.
• Reduce equipment downtime to maintain optimum production output.
• Maintain and upgrade automated machinery and associated control frameworks.
• Assist with the installation, commissioning, and modification of new plant equipment.
• Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics accurately to inform maintenance tasks.
• Engage in ongoing improvement projects to optimize processes and equipment performance.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety standards and internal procedures during all operations.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will be a proactive, hands-on engineer demonstrating excellent troubleshooting abilities within a manufacturing or production environment.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Completed apprenticeship or hold relevant engineering qualifications.
• Proven expertise in electrical maintenance.
• Versatile skill set inclusive of mechanical maintenance knowledge.
• Experience diagnosing faults on manufacturing or production machinery.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and automation technologies.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the aptitude for independent work.
