Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Electrical Technician to be part of a high-performing team that ensures the upkeep and compliance of Pret shops through electrical and general fabric maintenance. Reporting to the Technician Team Leader, you will be a key player in sustaining the shop environment and supporting operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct various maintenance tasks within agreed service level agreements, minimizing disruption to shop operations.
• Diagnose and swiftly repair electrical equipment failures.
• Maintain and service shop electrical systems, including lighting installation, lamp replacement, and fitting maintenance.
• Replace plugs, sockets, and handle diverse electrical repairs as required.
• Perform minor fabric maintenance such as painting, repairing plaster, brick slips, and walls.
• Repair furniture including chairs, tables, and benches.
• Replace toilet seats and complete other general building fabric repairs assigned by the facilities team.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, properly disposing of waste and storing tools and materials.
• Comfortably work at heights utilizing various tools and equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects timely while adhering to specifications.
• Utilize basic computer skills to operate handheld devices for maintenance reporting.
• Communicate clearly with shop teams and colleagues regarding job progress and any issues.
• Be flexible as this permanent role covers nationwide shops with possible travel.
• Work rotating shifts from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4:30pm on weekends, with required flexibility.

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum of two years hands-on electrical work experience.
• Relevant trade qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds and possession of current electrical certificates (minimum 18th edition) with documentation.
• Ability to identify and escalate sensitive reactive maintenance issues appropriately.
• Quick response and precise troubleshooting capabilities.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
