Position Overview
Integral Diagnostics (IDX) invites applications for the role of MRI Modality Lead based in the Gold Coast, Queensland. This senior clinical leadership role involves managing MRI services across the Gold Coast and extends to regional locations in Toowoomba and Mackay. The role provides an exciting mix of hands-on scanning, leadership, mentoring, and service development within a high-volume environment equipped with Siemens and GE MRI systems, including advanced Cardiac MRI techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical leadership and support to the MRI team to uphold high standards.
- Ensure delivery of efficient, patient-centered MRI services maintaining quality across routine and advanced imaging.
- Lead best practices in MRI safety protocols and scanning methodologies.
- Deliver support for advanced imaging, particularly Cardiac MRI procedures.
- Oversee and assist the MRI training program, including mentoring MRI radiographers.
- Manage workflow planning, rostering, and capacity within a busy departmental environment.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, management, and operational teams to foster relations and service growth.
- Develop and sustain strong rapport with referrers and other key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous service improvement and contribute to MRI service expansion efforts.
- Participate in capital equipment acquisition evaluations and decisions.
- Attend industry forums and events to stay current with advancements in MRI technology and practices.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a degree in Medical Imaging or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with AHPRA with eligibility for or holding a Queensland Radiation Use Licence.
- Demonstrates strong clinical proficiency in MRI with solid knowledge of safety standards and scanning protocols.
- Has prior leadership or supervisory experience within MRI services.
- Familiarity with Siemens MRI systems is highly advantageous.
- Experience in Cardiac MRI is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills with the capability to build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Committed to mentoring, development of colleagues, and teamwork ethos.
