Role Summary
This full-time, on-location Mover position is based in Welshpool, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe loading, transportation, and unloading of various household and commercial items such as furniture, appliances, pianos, and heavy safes. Duties involve securing and wrapping items carefully, assisting with packing and unpacking processes, assembling and dismantling furniture, operating moving equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in company vehicles.
Responsibilities
Movers deliver courteous and professional service, collaborate effectively with team members, adapt to a variety of moving scenarios across Perth and Western Australia, and support accurate on-site documentation and payment handling.
Qualifications
- Good physical condition with the ability to safely lift, carry, and manipulate heavy objects.
- Preferable experience in removals, logistics, or related hands-on labor roles.
- Understanding of safe procedures for loading, securing, and handling fragile and specialized items.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for furniture assembly and disassembly using standard tools.
- A valid driver’s license; prior driving experience with light commercial vehicles or trucks is a plus.
- Strong adherence to safety standards including manual handling and workplace health regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, presenting a professional attitude on site.
- Ability to function well in a team environment, take instructions, and handle varying schedules and job demands.
- Dependable, punctual, organized, with careful attention to detail and the condition of clients’ belongings.
- Must have or be able to obtain police clearance and legal entitlement to work in Australia.
- Willingness to work weekdays and occasional weekends as bookings require.
