Our primary goal extends beyond metrics to enhancing VALD’s recognition as an innovator and thought leader in health and performance sectors.

Role Overview

This permanent, full-time role is based at VALD’s global headquarters in Brisbane, Australia. As a Motion Designer and Video Producer, you'll significantly influence VALD’s product communications, creating dynamic video and motion design content that clearly explains complex software features, product updates, and workflows across VALD’s technological offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a global team including marketers, product specialists, and creatives to conceptualize, produce, and finalize impactful video material for various platforms.
  • Take a hands-on role in motion graphic design, animation, and video work, partnering closely with the Lead Videographer and marketing teams.
  • Create motion graphics for product launches, feature releases, educational content, and advertising campaigns.
  • Reconstruct and animate software user interfaces in Adobe After Effects to demonstrate workflows and user experiences.
  • Develop compelling kinetic typography, UI animations, transitions, and visual effects to simplify the communication of complex ideas.
  • Work with subject matter experts to turn technical information into engaging visual narratives.
  • Edit video content using contemporary motion design approaches to deliver polished and platform-specific outputs.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is highly organized, positive, and self-driven with the ability to work efficiently under pressure—whether managing tight project deadlines or producing creative, memorable content aligned with business goals. A strong eagerness to learn and contribute within a collaborative, high-achieving video production team is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Between three and five years of professional experience in motion design, video production, animation, or a comparable creative field.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Film Production, Multimedia, Media Arts, or a related discipline.
  • Evidenced ability to generate high-quality video and motion content ranging from curated pieces to quick-turnaround social media and longer-format content. Experience in creating advertising creatives is advantageous.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe After Effects and proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong grasp of animation basics, pacing, typography, and visual storytelling techniques.
  • Experience crafting UI animations, product demonstrations, or marketing material centered on software.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while delivering on strict deadlines.
  • Good storytelling and visual communication skills coupled with creative problem-solving aptitude.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • A proactive mindset toward workflow optimization and content production efficiency improvements.
  • Experience in designing motion graphic systems, reusable templates, and assets.
  • Strong aesthetic sensibilities with a commitment to creativity under time constraints.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Illustrator, or comparable design programs is highly desirable.
  • An interest or background in sports performance, health technology, rehabilitation, or biomechanics is considered a plus.
