Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified MOT Tester to join our team at Wessex Garages on Hadfield Road, Cardiff. Your expertise will ensure our customers remain safe on the roads and uphold our reputation for excellence in service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MOT tests on class 4 vehicles strictly adhering to DVSA standards.
• Carry out comprehensive inspections to detect defects and safety concerns.
• Accurately complete MOT paperwork and reports in a timely manner, maintaining scheme integrity.
• Effectively communicate test results and required repairs to Service Advisors for clear customer explanation.
• Keep the working area clean and professional while following company and DVSA protocols.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a valid MOT testing licence with minimum class 4 accreditation from DVSA, including an up-to-date annual training record and assessment pass.
• Proven MOT testing experience demonstrating strong accuracy and strict adherence to compliance standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with thorough knowledge of vehicle testing procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills focused on customer service.
• Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
