About the Role
We are seeking reliable and compassionate individuals in Charleston, WV, who genuinely enjoy assisting others with services like changing flat tires, jump-starting car batteries, and towing vehicles. The work involves being outdoors in various weather conditions. Work Location
Fleet Location: 927 Barlow Drive, Building 4, Charleston, WV 25311.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting base pay at $20.25 per hour (dependent on position and experience)
- Full-time positions available on 1st shift, including weekends
- 2nd shift includes a 10% additional shift differential

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform lock-out services, fuel deliveries, battery jump-starts, and tire changes following established procedures
- Operate tow and recovery services according to set guidelines (for Tow Truck Driver roles)
- Sell, install, and test automotive batteries and provide warranty services to members (Mobile Battery Technician role)
- Effectively communicate with customers to ensure safety and keep them informed
- Make responsible decisions regarding vehicle service and member needs
- Accurately enter call details into truck technology, process payments including cash handling, and complete necessary reports
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to confirm safety and compliance, securing fleet vehicles and equipment at all times
- Participate as needed in community events promoting the AAA brand such as parades and media appearances
Candidate Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license for state of residence with adherence to all licensing requirements
- Ability to pass physical exams as mandated by Department of Transportation and company policy
- Preferred: three years of experience in automotive or mechanical environments, technical school training, or a minimum of three years in sales/customer service roles
- Physical ability to handle equipment weighing up to 75 pounds, perform bending, kneeling, balancing tasks for tire changes and inspections, and use hand tools
- Successful clearance of pre- and post-employment screenings including criminal, drug, and motor vehicle checks
- Operate passenger vehicles and light to medium duty trucks (manual and automatic)
- Effective written, verbal, and digital communication skills, including use of GPS and email
- Completion of required training courses within 60 days of hiring and ongoing departmental training as needed
