Role Summary

The Mining Technician will play an essential role in supporting both underground and surface mining operations onsite in Mecca. This includes assisting with the setup and operation of mining equipment, performing routine inspections, collecting geological and ore samples, and accurately documenting data. The technician must adhere strictly to safety procedures, assist with blasting and material extraction activities under supervision, and maintain effective communication with supervisors and team members in a demanding field environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience or formal training in mining, mineral extraction, or industrial fieldwork.
• Proficient in the operation and basic maintenance of mining machinery and safe handling of related tools.
• Familiar with safety protocols, hazard identification, and environmental compliance.
• Capable of interpreting technical instructions, maps, and basic engineering or geological diagrams.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving capabilities under field pressures.
• Physically fit and willing to work in challenging conditions including underground sites and shift-based schedules.
• High school diploma or relevant technical/vocational certification preferred in mining, geology, or engineering technology.
• Previous mining, construction, or heavy industry experience, ideally in Mecca or similar locations, is advantageous.
