Role Summary
This full-time, on-site Millwright Technician position based in Qatar involves installing, aligning, and inspecting mechanical systems and machinery used in Oil & Gas facilities, such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, and rotating equipment. The technician will perform mechanical adjustments and alignments daily while maintaining accurate documentation following project and QatarEnergy procedures. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical problems, interpreting technical drawings and manuals, and working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to sustain safe and efficient operations in both live and construction environments. Compliance with strict HSE standards, participation in toolbox talks, and contributing to ongoing reliability and asset performance improvements are also part of the role.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven expertise in equipment maintenance and installation of mechanical and rotating machinery within industrial or Oil & Gas environments.
- Competence in performing inspections, lubrication, and mechanical alignments.
- Relevant technical diploma or trade certification in Mechanical, Millwright, or Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Between 5 to 7 years of practical experience in EPC or Oil & Gas projects, preferably aligned with QatarEnergy or similar HSE-critical settings.
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, equipment manuals, and maintenance protocols.
- Strong commitment to safety, familiarity with permit-to-work systems, and adherence to on-site HSE regulations.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, capable of coordinating effectively with supervisors, engineers, and fellow technicians on-site.
