Job Location

This position is based on-site at the Baytown II jobsite in Texas.

Role Overview

As a Millwright Helper, you will support Precision Millwrights by assisting with inspecting, moving, assembling, and positioning industrial equipment such as turbines, pumps, motors, compressors, cooling towers, and Fin Fans. Your tasks include reading blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical schematics while operating various hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Tools and Equipment

• Use industrial hand and power tools including grinders, lathes, torque wrenches, band saws, chain falls, come-alongs, wrenches, and porta powers.
• Operate and assist with complex precision machinery such as ball mills, ID fans, lube oil skids, turbines, conveyors, generators, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears, dry gas seals, mechanical seals, bearings, and compressors.
• Employ precision leveling and alignment instruments such as calipers, squares, micrometers, and optical devices to measure angles, thickness, and distances accurately.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of six months experience in an industrial work environment.

Additional Job Requirements

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including extended assignments in remote locations.
• Available and prepared to work shifts up to 12 hours daily, seven days a week.
• Participation in mandatory safety meetings is required.
• Physical ability to meet job demands is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least six months of prior experience as a millwright helper.
• Familiarity with reading ISO drawings and blueprints.
• Experience working in the gas plant construction environment.
