Position Summary

Discovery Mining Ltd is currently seeking a licensed millwright for a permanent full-time role at its Kidd Operations in Timmins, Ontario. Candidates who are qualified apprentices may also be considered if no licensed millwrights apply. This position is part of a unionized workforce and requires availability for some overtime and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fixed mechanical equipment, including compressors, pumps, conveyors, fans, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, crushers, and piping.
• Perform mechanical installations and troubleshoot maintenance systems effectively.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment.
• Utilize maintenance programs and computer-maintained management systems while adhering to established maintenance procedures and practices.
• Work safely in challenging environments such as confined spaces, elevated areas, and near open holes.

Qualifications

• Possess a Red Seal Certificate of Qualification as a Millwright.
• Hold or be willing to obtain an all-position CWB welding certification through training.
• Have a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
• Completed or recently passed CAAT and DAT testing satisfactorily.
