Job description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Milling Machine Operator proficient in handling manual milling machines with precision and safety. The candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating milling equipment to shape and fabricate metal parts in line with engineering blueprints.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual milling machines efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Analyze and understand engineering drawings and machining instructions.
- Conduct machining tasks such as milling, drilling, slotting, boring, tapping, keyway creation, and facing.
- Prepare machines, workpieces, fixtures, and cutting tools for production runs.
- Choose appropriate cutters and configure machine parameters including spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut.
- Examine finished parts using precision measuring tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial gauges.
- Ensure components meet dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements.
- Perform tool replacements and machine calibration as needed.
- Detect machining defects and implement corrective measures promptly.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, personal protective equipment guidelines, and 5S workplace organization principles.
- Meet production goals without sacrificing product quality.
Compensation
The monthly salary ranges between 18000 and 30000 INR.
